Jennifer Burden originally from Airth in Scotland, but lived in Nottingham for 8 years. Tradgically killed in a HIT and RUN in Thailand on 16th of June 2008. She worked at Computerland in Nottingham. Her nickname was Jumbo. She was only 26. Her death has absolutly destroyed the lives of me (her boyfriend of 6 wonderful years)her mum; Margaret, her loving sister; Sheena and brother; Graham.
The details of her of death are too horrific for me to put on this site just now. It was front page of the Nottingham Evening Post on the 27th of June 2008. (and featured in many other papers too).
I just feel so sorry and guilty, I didn't run her over but I left her after a stupid drunken argument and she got hit by a pick up truck moments later in Pattaya, Thailand. I tried to save her but she died hours later in the hospital. We had been travelling for 4 months. I had to have her flown back to Scotland for the funeral which was the saddest day of our lives. She was loved by me and so many people. The funeral was probably the biggest Airth had ever seen. This is such a sad sad story. I don't know what else to say. I miss you so much Jumbo...We planned to travel on to Indonisia and then come home together September 2008. Raf xxxxxx

Well Jen it's been 3 years today since you were tragically taken from us and not a day goes by that I don't think about you and all the amazing times we had together - I was so lucky to be one of your best friends and will treasure every moment we spent together - 8 years of pure joy and special friendship, so thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Remember the highland games ha ha - what a funny weekend!

Dear Jenny,
We cant believe its two years tommorrow since we lost you, its all still very raw here, I hope you are watching over Raf and your mum they need the most guidance from you, they will never get over losing you Jen, no-one will but you had a special relationship with them and a huge part of their life is over , a part of them died with you.
We will always remember you Jen you touched so many hearts never have I known such a perfect person always smiling and enjoying life, you were unique, love you miss you......bye for now. xxx

Words cannot describe how sad I've been since you were taken so suddenly from us. You were such a wonderful and special friend to me, my little party partner and so much more. I miss you so much it hurts! It feels like a part of me is missing - I'll never find another friend like you again so thank you for all the great times we had over the years they were extremely special to me, I'll treasure the memories forever!!!
I hope you're ok darlin and with your dad somewhere beautiful, looking down on us all and keeping an eye on things - You must be an angel, why else would you be chosen! I really hope we meet again one day babes.

To my dear friend Raf and to Jen's family,
Words can not begin to describe my shock and sorrow upon hearing of your loss of Jen from this world.
Jen was such a wonderful person, always full of laughter and fun and I'm so grateful for the happy memories I have of her.
